The EDE1144 Keypad Encoder IC is designed to interface a matrix-type 4 row x 4 column (16 key or less) keypad to a microcontroller or other host processor. A one-wire serial or four-wire parallel interface returns the keypress data and can be used in conjunction with a 'data valid' signal for polled or interrupt-driven applications. The EDE1144 provides enhanced keypad features such as contact debouncing and key auto-repeat in an easy-to-use package that will lower software overhead in the host microcontroller and reduce the I/O pin requirements from eight to one, frequently resulting in the use of a less costly host microcontroller in your design.

The EDE1188 Keypad Encoder IC is designed to interface a matrix-type 8 row x 8 column (64 key or less) keypad to a microcontroller or other host processor. A one-wire serial or eight-wire parallel interface returns the keypress data and can be used in conjunction with a 'data valid' signal for polled or interrupt-driven applications. The EDE1188 provides enhanced keypad features such as contact debouncing and key auto-repeat in an easy-to-use package that will lower software overhead in the host microcontroller and reduce the I/O pin requirements from sixteen to one, frequently resulting in the use of a less costly host microcontroller in your design.

Our Stepper Motor Controller IC, the EDE1200, is available now for shipping. The EDE1200 Unipolar Stepper Motor IC is a 5 volt, 18 pin device designed to interface a logic-level input byte to a stepper motor. The EDE1200 is capable of automatically controlling a stepper motor in 'RUN' mode and of external pulsing in 'STEP' mode. Directional control is available, as well as both full and half-stepping for increased control resolution. The TTL/ CMOS level outputs sequence the stepper drive components, which consist of either four power transistors or a transistor array IC. Both setups are illustrated in our datasheet, and we offer component parts kits for these two arrangements as well.

Our Bi-Polar (4 wire) Stepper Motor Controller IC, the EDE1204, is available immediately for shipping. The EDE1204 Bi-Polar Stepper Motor IC is a 5 volt, 18 pin device designed to control any bi-polar stepper motor. The EDE1204 is capable of automatically turning a stepper motor in 'RUN' mode and of external pulsing in 'STEP' mode. Directional control is available, as well as both full and half-stepping for increased control resolution. The TTL/ CMOS level outputs sequence the stepper drive components, which consist two H-Bridges - either from discrete transistors or using the L293 Dual H-Bridge IC. Complete hookup schematics are contained in the datasheet.

The EDE2008 debounces up to eight independent pushbuttons, operating in both directions for active high and active low inputs. Working with both mechanical and membrane buttons, the EDE2008 eliminates all contact bounce noise and glitch activity to provide single clean, stable pulse to the host microcontroller.

The EDE2108 emulates a mechanical 1-ox-x assembly using standard momentary pushbuttons as inputs. The active high output corresponds to the most recent button pressed. Two versions of this IC are available: the 2108A, in which one channel is always active, and the 2108D, in which pressing the button of the currently active channel turns the output off. The EDE2108 works with standard momentary or membrane pushbuttons and allows the replacement of costly mechanical assemblies in selectoin circuitry. Outputs are clean, debounced signals.

The EDE2208 IC converts momentary pushbuttons into latching (toggle) outputs. Eight independent channels provide latched on, latched off function when pulsed by their respective momentary input. Working with all mechanical and membrane buttons, the EDE2208 provides glitch-free, clean toggles that are ideal for status indication or microprocessor input.
